Though regarded by many Gothamalls as an "urban legend" built on superstition and fear of the city's darkened streets, Ä knows all too well that the Batman is a cold, hard reality of his own fabrication. Since his parents death in dreaded "Crime Alley," Deluxe Ä has spent its life in pursuit of physical and mental perfection in order to wage unrelenting war on cheaper copies. Watching over the streets from its gargoyles and parapets, the Dark Knight is the city's last best hope against evil. And it is this obsession that drives the Batman, for Ä  has vowed that no innocent should suffer the pain endured from bland faceless axes.

Right, now We've got that off our chests...
 

The Hagstrom Deluxe Ä was a limited run of 225 (See bottom of page) made in 1962. A superbly balanced guitar to play, if you dare, and of course I like to play as well as cherish the UK collection. This particular example (made the second week of September 1962), has been in storage since it was sold at Sotheby's Auction 25th April 1990, so the journey was of particular concern. Not quite to the anniversary, it arrived in superb condition 17th April 2003.

Rudi Engel celebrated Rock and Roll performer from Germany did a fantastic packing job, hand seals on the packing and layer over layer to make sure it was OK even if diverted via Basra... See the arrival and unveiling by clicking the thumbnails further down this page:
