my son,

(the bid system below no longer applies)
OK, Next lot up for sale - I will post additional pictures
within this directory of some items up for sale that do not have close ups
already
www.gbmusic.co.uk/Hagsell/
My requirements are hopefully simple: I tend to favour UK bids
purely because of complications and cost with shipping overseas.
Of course if Swedish people want them back - I have no problems, it's like them
going home!
I will only send items fully insured to the value you wish, by
express 3-4 day service minimum.
This costs up to £130 depending on value (to send overseas).
This is not me being expensive, just that I respect and treasure the history
being sold.
If buyers are willing and able to arrange collection
themselves (including arranging couriers etc) then I will happily pack and box
items for shipping. If there are any special requests beyond bubble wrap and two
separate layers of cardboard I will happily purchase packing materials on your
behalf at your cost to be added to the final buying price. This then will
be "the FULL sale price".
You can of course arrange for a company to everything on your behalf. Many items
have a 'hard' case which makes this less complicated, where they don't I can
obtain a standard hard case around which bubble wrap and cardboard can be
applied, if you choose. Cost is about £50 whatever you choose I must have
cleared funds in my account before items leave.
Payment methods will be of your choosing as long as all fees
are covered by you and all payments must be received by me in GB Pounds / £
sterling. This will be "the Full sale price"
"The FULL sale price" is the price I expect to receive, any
additional costs must be covered by you. I do have debit card
facilities - the same as a any mailorder or face to face shop transaction. The
price needs to be good though to cover charges and the fact that I am selling it
through a company. I think I can probably process European overseas payments in this way
but there may be a transfer fee and 3% surcharge I will need to
check.
The above guitar has been sold
PROPOSED METHOD
If you are interested in buying one of my cherished vintage Hagstrom items,
please take a look at the pages about them. (use the menus or contents page)
http://www.hagstrom.org.uk/Hagstromcontents_page.htm
If something is of particular interest you can send your offer by email, and
I might accept without going further. If
you offer the Guide Price or above, it WILL sell within 6 weeks of your offer as
long as nobody has offered more. Title any email with "(the item name)" and the words "offer to buy" The
offer amount is, as explained above, for the item only.
I will not send bid info to other people just to raise a bid higher. (Ask anyone
that has bought from me up to now - I am fair)
Additional costs of shipping/insurance are extra to arrive at "the FULL sale
price".
The email address to use is david@gbmusic.co.uk
I am not intending to be greedy. If your offer could generally be considered a
peak value bid for such an item I will accept.
If there are two or more offers I will of course accept the highest offer. If
the money is not forthcoming I will offer to the next highest bidder.
A guitar will be marked sold as soon as the funds have cleared my account
It also has one tone control replaced, only difference is gold 'tone' insert
instead on silver 'tone' insert Guide Price £650
Hagstrom P46 Deluxe
(from the very first Batch of Hagstrom Electric Guitars)
VERY Playable / Gig-able if wanted. Solid body and still original with no issues
- that's amazing quality for something so old!
http://www.hagstrom.org.uk/Blackpearl.htm Guide Price £2,200
Viking 1N with a Strat style head. (The sunburst
Serial # 731642 Listed 1968)
This was my first vintage purchase since 1974! Bought in 2001 it came from
Canada, and being new version humbuckers plus the Fender shape headstock it is a
very rare all original transition model - to my minds 'best of both worlds' for
playability, rarity and looks!
http://www.hagstrom.org.uk/viking_has_landed.htm
A great guitar as well as being quite rare with the transition Fender
style headstock and humbuckers Guide Price £1000
Viking 1N Cherry Red
http://www.hagstrom.org.uk/viking_has_landed.htm (half way down the page).
This used to be owned by much missed Rob Morritt (of Hagstrom Canada) and I have second thoughts about selling
it, but it just doesn't get played these days.
There are a few videos around with it in use, but this "the
128th true Viking 1N ever produced" will be going. Guide Price £1250
Concord Deluxe Bass
http://www.hagstrom.org.uk/concorddlx.htm
- this is Uber-Rare, in fab condition, I love it every time I pick it up... but
I just need some space!!! Guide Price £1700
Ok so these have been re-issued... there'll soon be many more new ones than
originals ever made. How many originals are left? Few in this condition!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dont really know yet... will probably keep these.. in fact almost
definitely!!
:)
Scanbass (fretless)
http://www.hagstrom.org.uk/FretlessScanbass.htm
I'm really torn about this guitar. It's the epitome of quality, and friendly. If
I end up keeping a standard bass, this will be it
HIII - this is in mint condition with original case. It is the iconic 60's
Hagstrom guitar, and it looks like it just came into stock new.
http://www.hagstrom.org.uk/hagiii.htm Half way down the page. Comes with
original invoice when new etc...
How could I not find room to keep this one? We will see...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Definitely keeping to play: H12 Although this is absolutely mint condition we are intending using it
live. Although this might give it signs of use, my son loves it!
It stays in tune forever like Hagstroms do, and makes a really good sound...
http://www.hagstrom.org.uk/hagstwelve.htm
H8 The original 8 string bass. Like a lot of Hagstroms - this just stays in
tune too, it's also great fun to play http://www.hagstrom.org.uk/H8.htm
HIIN-OT I don't need to tell anyone why this is staying - phenominal guitar.
If I'm picky it could do with raunchier pickups, but that's all.
http://www.hagstrom.org.uk/H-IIN-OT.htm
AND FINALLY...
Just for the fun of it, we bridged the inputs on an old Hagstrom 310 amp Hendrix / Marshall
style, and turned it into a Jimmy Page Monster!

There's
nothing like a REAL original Swedish made Hagstrom (and there are loads
around), but if it 'floats your boat', or you can't find an original
then who are we to say?
Plenty has been said already and
will be said forever forward probably.
Only you know what's right for you!
