The original Super Swede guitar is considered the finest electric guitar
Hagström ever produced.
The SuperSwede Bass is in addition a very
rare beast.
It is said to stand up to anything made today for quality sound and
playability
Hagström's only through neck model, it was indeed a top quality model.
It came very late in the Hagström story, and didn't have the opportunity to
go into full production
There was also an issue with a few of the production where a creaminess
developed in the varnish.
Something unheard of in previous production, maybe it was getting close to the
time...
despite this problem, in just a few, it is a fabulous instrument.

...yesterday the local athletic club arranged a jazz jam
at our barn and to my utter delight one of the three bass players, a
really good one at that, played a much love SuperSwede bass in tobacco
burst.
It proved he actually bought two new ones from the Hagström shop in Vaxjo
in the early eighties, one for a friend and one for himself and he has
stayed with the instrument since then frequently on a professional basis.
To hear the tone and depth from his instrument used by one who
continuously used chords and chord progressions unknown to me was quite
illuminating.
This instrument had a sound on a level of its own compared to the two to
other basses, one Fender Jazz Bass and one handbuilt neck through body
bass.
My friend who is quite an accomplished hobby level bass player himself
just shook his head in amazement at some of the things he did with the old
Hag. The odd thing it does not look old in design as does the Fender...

This is a virtually mint, Lefty SuperSwede Bass.
Not a hint of milkiness found on a few of this rare
model's right hander, and hey there were only 356 listed, none leftys.
Is this unique??
