Karl-Eric Hagstrom Jr. is checking the factory shipping details of the Coronado
IV. We both suspect that it is a Futurama that was originally shipped to Selmer
even though it has the Coronado IV decal on the headstock. It does have the
Kings Neck label on the back of the headstock. It's also never had the Hagstrom
nameplate mounted to the upper body horn, so it could be a transition bass.

1964 Coronado IV

To: webstrom Subject: Futurama mystery resolved Hello David - You have a picture
of my 1964 Coronado IV posted on your site. When I sent that pic to you I was
unsure whether it had left the factory as a Futurama destined for Selmer or if
it left as a Coronado IV destined for somewhere else in the world. Karl-Eric got
back to me awhile a go to let me know that in fact the bass did leave the
factory as a Coronado IV. It was originally shipped to Frankfurt Germany in
October of 64.

Attached is another one of my Hag basses (I own 9) this is a
recent addition*.
This is a factory finished White Hagstrom II B
from 1967. Cheers, Jon

Jon Casselman changes seasons with us... Let's move to the warm earthy colours
of Autumn...
Just CLICK THE PIC then wait for this basement view to load... These are the
candidates
that prompted this dedicated page along with Jon's previous contributions!

Jon also has an eye for the other special
pieces... one I let slip through my fingers
due to taxes, duty, and carriage to the UK... Oh well... OH HELL!
Hagstrom Bjarton H45-e - superb!

Now isn't that just a gorgeous pose...
Thank you Jon

Hi Jon, Another superb composition; I just wish we had more people who can make
such a presentation.

David, Save the picture that I just sent you for the early fall.
It has a lot of those earthy colours in it. This will be the last group shot.
I've now sold all of my Hagstrom's. I still have a number of basses, just not
Hags.
Take care, Jon
