Now before I go any further, I must temper the presentation of this picture with some background. Given this site is all about Hagstrom Guitars, it is an indication of the success of this photo, that I should receive more mail about it than any other on the website! Clearly hitting the right chord, the style of the time, and hopefully the right balance between placing the product in a good setting, without over-using the opportunity for a pretty lady.

So, after several requests, and even people sending me better versions of the original presentation, I decided to spend three hours trying to repair my copy of the cover picture to what might have been the original quality. Having removed as many scratches and creases as I could and "repairing" the hole punch marks, here (once and for all), is the final version we will show!

I have heard from a (now) younger relative of Kathy, and suffice to say, Kathy declined to contact us with further insight to the photo-shoot at the time this catalogue was put together.

I have to admit this is a superb iconic picture of its time, and I hope it is appreciated for it's balance, clarity and perfect harmony. I also hope everyone who searches it out, appreciates it.

There's nothing like a REAL original Swedish made Hagstrom (and there are loads around), but if it 'floats your boat', or you can't find an original then who are we to say?
