FOR SALE

From the Selmer Catalogue (UK) 1964

The Coronado Basses were the pro models for Hagstrom too, with magneto dynamic pickups
(also known as bi-sonic) and also used by Guild on the Starfire and M-85 basses.
The basses below are highly collectable now in either Futurama or Hagstrom Versions,
the Coronado IV or VI (4 or 6) string basses. (See the UK collection example)
Note the bar rest. This was early days for electric basses, the big vertical basses were only
just replaced in this field of music, and people were not sure of the "right" way to play them!
This configuration assumes playing with the thumb guitar-like, with other fingers resting below.
Have a look at other basses (any make) around the period. rests appear in all sorts of places

There's nothing like a REAL original Swedish made Hagstrom (and there are loads around), but if it 'floats your boat', or you can't find an original then who are we to say?

Plenty has been said already and
will be said forever forward probably.
Only you know what's right for you!
