General Info from Hagstrom UK

Q. What does the
Web Counter really mean?
A. A web counter can be many things - depending on how it is
set up.
Some site owners capture every click
and call it a visitor, others record genuine
visits to the site, and simple
refreshes or duplications are ignored.
At HAGSTROM UK A "HIT" IS RECORDED ON THE FOLLOWING
BASIS:
YOU WILL ONLY BE RECORDED ON THE
HOME PAGE
REFRESHES OR REPEAT LOADING OF THE
PAGE IS IGNORED, AND
A RETURN VISITOR IS IGNORED UNTIL
ANOTHER VISITOR HAS BEEN RECORDED
OR 24 HOURS HAS PASSED.
It's the best we can do folks! But as an example, if all
hits were counted it would be a VERY different...
Example from January 2003 report:

30 days at 13th January 2006

(100,000 unique visitors reached January 2007)

We have a clear conscience about our counter!

Q. Why did we restart a
Forum at Hagstrom UK?
A. We had a forum, but then lots of other sites started them
too.
Established Hagstrom sites
around the world already had help forums,
but then as they stopped being active
it became a bit odd not to have one here.
We decided to close it for one reason, then reopen for this reason.
If that is the way people wish to
enquire or communicate, we willingly offer our forum
but we also suggest you follow the Forum at
Hagstrom USA even thought the site itself
has become static in recent times, or of course forums at any other linked site
