By the 1950's everyone old and young was doing the squeeze!

Hagstrom were 'instrumental' in establishing Musical Education into the Swedish school system
I wonder is Nils still around? Did he carry on playing?
He'd be about 57 years old now...

Mikael Jansson kindly updates us about Nils in January 2008:

Nils Sylvén aka "Nippe", mentioned on the page above, became one of Sweden´s leading jazz/rock keyboard players; he served during the 70s in a band called The Gimmicks, which was kind of a Swedish take on the Sergio Mendes/Brazil 66 sound, they were quite popular over here. "Nippe" Sylvén is also a master of the Hammond B-3 organ!!

Carl Jularbo was key to the early development of the Hagstrom Retail outlets,
and may have been a partner
in the business as far back as 1931

There's nothing like a REAL original Swedish made Hagstrom (and there are loads around), but if it 'floats your boat', or you can't find an original then who are we to say?

Plenty has been said already and
will be said forever forward probably.
Only you know what's right for you!
